Those days

When everything you see turns grey,
When your vision narrows and skews,
When a gliding bird seem like a plastered poster on your wall,
And the light in-front of you shines brighter and brighter like a beam closing in,
Everything stops,
Everything spins,
A kaleidoscope of colors,
And then nothing.

Dr Seuss warped

My friend suggested to me not so long ago to do my version of Dr Seuss. I said, that's not such a bad idea. I love Dr Seuss and all the craziness he's always in. So, here's what I'd like to put up as my version of him, warped and a bit tangled.

Too tired..

I hear the motor of the fan running in the background,
faint sounds of kids playing outside..
I turned the faucet open and watched the water run.

Everything seem to become eerily quiet as I stared into the full sink.
I can hear the clock ticking..
I've been staring at it for some time now.
Not really sure what to do or if I want to.

Experimenting art

I was going through my sketchpad recently and realized that I haven't been paying much attention to it. So, I've decided to experiment on posting my stuff here to get me in the groove of creating art some more. Hope you like them! :)

Life's Funny Turns

Funny how a good day can turn really sour in just a blink,
how life imposes the sharp and bumpy turns over and over.
You thought you have learned,
but you keep on making those same turns.

Funny how after 30 years you would think you have it all figured out,
then life surprises you.
You seem to want to crawl into oblivion,
but then you cannot.

Funny how ideals can make the world hopeful and rosy,
and how it can be easily taken away.

So, what have we learned?

Missing my books..

I forgot how much I missed the days when I would just prop up my feet, have a good book open infront of me with nice music filling the room... Things are just to hectic these days. You don't have time to stop and smell the roses... I wonder how my books are doing. Think I have a few that I haven't read yet.

Growing up

I recently bought myself a new floor mop. It has a terra-cloth head which is suppose to be more gentle and absorbent. 15 years ago, I wouldn't have imagined myself shopping in the household section. My world was filled with shopping, movies, books, TV, good times with friends, etc. Nothing that screams responsibility.

Sigh. I miss those days...
